1. What Data We Collect

Without an account:

• Your IP address (to enforce the 30 votes/day limit)
• Pages visited and voting activity (anonymized, for analytics)
• Browser type and general location (country level)

With an account:

• Email address
• Username, display name, avatar color, and optional bio
• If you use Google sign-in: your Google email and public profile name only — no contacts, calendar, or other Google data
• Votes, comments, and comment votes you cast

2. How We Use Your Data

• To run the platform — displaying rankings, enforcing limits, showing your comments
• To communicate with you — account confirmation, important service updates
• To prevent abuse — detecting vote manipulation and spam
• To improve the site — understanding which features are used

We do not sell your data, use it for targeted advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing.

3. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication. Privacy Policy
• Vercel — website hosting. Privacy Policy
• Upstash — rate limiting (stores IP-based vote counts, no personal data). Privacy Policy
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in. Only your email and public name are shared with us.

4. Cookies

• Session cookies — to keep you logged in (set by Supabase Auth)
• No ad or tracking cookies — we don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party trackers

5. Data Retention

• Account data retained while your account is active
• IP vote-limit counters reset daily (auto-expiring Redis keys)
• If you delete your account, personal data is deleted within 30 days; comments show as [deleted]

6. Your Rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Update your display name, bio, and avatar in your profile settings. For account deletion or data export, email privacy@rushmore.fun. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Rushmore.fun is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from under-13s. Contact us to remove any such data.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable precautions.

9. Changes

We'll post changes here with an updated date. For significant changes we'll notify registered users by email.
